There was someone from mausnet who asked, my response mail got
bounded, the question was faded out from my news board, so here my
answer is anyway:

In comp.os.386bsd.misc you write:

>Looking for feedback on University INGRES on NETBSD/FREEBSD

>1.) Anyone out there running it on 386bsd/netbsd/freebsd?
Yes, me

>2.) Any mods needed to get it to run? If so where can I FTP them from?
There is a set of patches for 386BSD, made by a Japanese Man (Kenji is
al I know from his name). I tried once to port it too, but I gave up
even though I was almost complete, because I dind't know how to handle
the monitor `shell'. I got no reaction, since I dindn't try to say \g.
Well now I set it all up for FreeBSD, but I killed the original
sources, so I can't make diffs now.

Not so far, but actually I didn't work a lot with Ingres. I'd like to
see some better front end for ingres. Monitor is a little outdated
from my point of view. Is there a X11 front end for it?
