It seems that the problems with GNU Fax is not with BSD rather with
the protocols used. It is only written for a special modem, not a Group 2
CCITT fax modem command.

If anyone has any easily uploadable info on Fax Group 2 command set, I'd like
to know about it. I'm currently using the info on gnu fax to decipher the
modem commands and responses from my version of faxmodem.

Gnu fax use of numbers for responses instead of "text strings" have made it
difficult to port to various modems.

If anyone try to work on this package, use the undocumented command on
faxsend to get debugging infomation e.g.

faxsend -l7 235296 test.dfax

Kermit is used to monitor messages between modems but may not work when
dialing initially. run kermit only during the dialing process.

the responses are in libfax.a library in file response.c

We need to modify this file for various modems. I'll find a way to make it more
portable.

The makefiles are not originally very portable. I've made some modifications
to make it easy for me to develop the fax software mostly on the configuration
and installation process.

SABAH is HEAVEN. Beautiful islands, mountains and jungles are next to 5 star
hotels. There are no natural and very few man-made disasters,
BUT for how long will it last?
