I am able to read from DOS hard discs using both mtools and mounting the
discs as type msdos, but when I write files to them, they are unreadable
in DOS, which complains about unavailable sectors. Doing a CHKDSK /F zeros
the length of the file.

Both the drives I am trying to write to are IDEs, does anybody have any
ideas?

R.
