Lines: 19 NNTP-Posting-Host: gauss.asd.sgi.com I already responded to the original poster on this. Didn't think there was any interest by others, but since I see at least one follow up ... Keith Bostic and I essentially ported BSD4.3 to the PDP-11 back in 1986/87 and released it through USENIX twice, once as BSD2.10 in late 1987 and once as BSD2.10.1 in late 1988. Since that time Steven Schultz (sms@wlv.iipo.gtegsc.com) has maintained the BSD PDP-11 port and has released it at least twice as BSD2.11 and (I think) BSD2.11.1. Steven has significantly extended Keith's and my work with the few features from BSD4.3 we omitted (the fast file system for one) and many features from BSD4.3-reno. What can I say? It's good that the world has a few masochists ... :-) For the absolute latest information on 2BSD look at the news group comp.bugs.2bsd. Steven posts there quite frequently. Casey
