Does anyone have an idea what the best strategy for packaging 386BSD to floppies
would be?

I tried to produce .tar.Z files but it seems to me that the files
in the *dist directories are already packed files.

It would be nice to have one central command (cpio, tar or whatever) to
produce a shippable floppy disk distribution of the whole package.
