It is 2.0, but I think >you can merge the diffs back into 2.1 fairly easily. I snarfed Eric's Athena version of Mosaic as soon as I read about it, src and bin for Sun4. When I tried to run the bin I was quite discouraged to discover that I could reliably crash Mosaic-Xaw by pulling down the options menu (or wherever the fonts are) and trying to select a button. I have not tried to compile it myself. I have not posted in the obvious places about this because of the intense amount of noise that gets generated everytime anyone criticises the Motif choice of Marc and Eric. I find it extremely funny that Marc tried to justify the choice of Motif to me when I questioned it on News about a year ago by saying that the rich selection of widgets made the programming much easier, then Eric was able to port it back to Xaw in 10 hours. If it works (worked?) under Xaw I would MUCH prefer to use it than contribute to OSF even in an indirect fashion. Is there anyone successfully using Mosaic-Xaw on any platform without it crashing when you try the font selection? -- R.Stewart(Stew) Ellis, Assoc.Prof., (Off)313-762-9765 ___________________ Humanities & Social Science, GMI Eng.& Mgmt.
