Message-ID: <jnpotts.712188544@vincent1.iastate.edu> Sender: news@news.iastate.edu (USENET News System) Organization: Iowa State University, Ames IA Date: Sun, 26 Jul 1992 22:09:04 GMT Lines: 19 First, when I boot my system, I get the message "<whatever the current date is> lpd[50]:/dev/lp: No such file or directory" when things are initializing. This just started happening recently, and I'm wondering what I did to start it, and how I can stop it. Now for the second question: When I try to use tip, I get the following: % tip com1 lock open: No such file or directory all ports busy Can anyone help to rectify these situations? -- _____________________________________________________________________ James N.
