Yes, NetBSD-current supports the Mitsumi. In fact, I had the code running under 386bsd0.1+patchkits. The NetBSD-current code didn't find my CD drive, so I replaced the probe() code with an older version that did work. The driver doesn't use interrupts, and is a bit slow. Thanks to the authors, Holger Veigt and ?? (sorry!) for writing it. An interrupt-driven one would be nice! Warren Toomey P.S I'm staying apolitical. A friend here will be installing FreeBSD and we plan to compare our systems.
