Message-ID: <1992Jul27.043356.10534@kirk.bu.oz.au> Organization: ITS, Bond University Date: Mon, 27 Jul 1992 04:33:56 GMT Seeing as we provide the Australian archive for 386BSD, I thought it was about time I got a box up and running. The only "spare" non-PS/2 box I could get my hands on was a Compaq Deskpro 386/20 with a 300Meg ESDI and 6 Megs of RAM. Well, things get about as far as the "boot beep" and that's it. The boot process starts but last about 2 seconds (ie. loading the bootstrap. Nothing makes it to the screen). At that point, the system reboots. I have tried the same floppy on a Deskpro 386/25 with the same results. Booting the floppy in a Toshiba 5100 laptop comes up fine. Has anyone got 0.1 to boot on a Compaq Deskpro? ___ David J.
