Actually, this is the first I've heard of this -- you gonna post about
it to the hackers list?  8-).

I was under the (correct me if I am mistaken) impression that the Mitsumi
and the SoundBlaster interfaces were identical.  I am *NOT* talking about
the SoundBlaster SCSI, which wants a CPU-intensive driver to push its
bits for it, unlike decent, God-fearing SCSI cards that will do bus-mastering
DMA for you.  My impression is that it would be easier to implement drivers
for some of the crummy older SCSI cards than it would for the SoundBlaster
SCSI.

Anyway, for the non-SCSI SoundBlaster, it may mean that you can make it
work by getting the Mitsumi driver and hacking the probe a little.
