I'm trying to decide on a frame grabber board for robotics/computer vision
research. I'm using NetBSD currently and plan to write my own device
driver (assuming none of you reading this has already done so). The two
boards I'm looking at right now are the Creative Labs VideoSpigot and the
Media Vision Pro Movie Spectrum.

If you or a close friend has any familiarity with either of these board, I'd
appreciate it if you'd drop me a line and let me know how much programming
information the manufacturers supply. I've heard that Creative Labs doesn't
give out information on the VideoSpigot but haven't been able to contact any-
one at the company to verify this.

There seems to be sufficient interest, based upon my posts to other groups,
to justify a summary of what I find so I'll do so as I get information.
