This is a known problem in the pcprobe.  It's difficult to debug since
when you compile a local kernel and/or install the software onto the hard-drive
the problem goes away.

The solution is to bounce on a key during the probe (I use num-lock since it
doesn't affect anything and I can see when the keyboard comes back to life
with the LED's)

Once you install FreeBSD on the hard-drive it *should* go away, and if it
doesn't build a customized kernel which should cause it to go away.
