I have an Archive SC409 controller in my IDE system.
I configured the jumpers as per the install instructions
in the 386BSD 0.1 install guide. It is not seen at boot
time, nor does tar or "cat /dev/rwt0" seem to cause
any reponse on the tape drive. I have a drive connected
(also made by Archive - both controller and drive are
from an old Apollo DN3000). I realize that 0.1 is an
old system, but my question is:

Should this setup work?
Will this work in one of the newer BNR releases?

I am hoping to be able to load one of these newer
releases using this drive. I'm tired of mucking with
floppies. Thanks for any and all suggestions
