MacBSD is ~ NetBSD 0.8, and is available from several sites; check out sun-lamp.cs.berkeley.edu, for one, and docs located at that site should list other sites (it's the home site of NetBSD). There is great interest in the PPC, and I am sure porting will start (at least in this neck of the woods) as soon as sufficient hardware and documentation on the machine itself are made available -- which is to say it probably wont happen until at least mid-March (Apple's tentative release date according to several industry rags). This could probably be bumped up significantly if someone at Aplle either took pity on the interested programmers and sent them machines and docs, or if someone at Apple put a hand in and started the port themselves (like the early "good old days").
