I found one MIT site + freebsd.cdrom.com : but neither one of these has half of the apps I'm looking for and that : I've heard discussed on here. : : 2) A good communications package. I don't care if it's X or not, but : kermit just doesn't do quite what I want it to, nor is it as friendly as : I'd like. Get Seyon 2.x(?) It is an X comm package that looks and works great. I believe there is a package on Freebsd.cdrom.com. If not, try getting the source on prep.ai.mit.edu. : : 3) tvtwm. I'm also interested in mwm, but I doesn't that require Motif? : (I don't have, nor can I afford Motif). Try fvwm 1.17(?) you will like it. Latest source is on spcot.sanders.com. You can also look on sunsite.unc.edu. It is a linux archive but has lots of interesting apps (both X and otherwise) that port to the *BSD's rather easily. : : 4) the QIC-80 tape driver (is there an X interface? just curious). If : it comes with FreeBSD then how do I use it? Is it a standard UNIX : format I could learn from my UNIX Sys-Admin book? : : email replies would be best (at least cc: them to my emal address) as I : have little time to read newsgroups. Any help is very much appreciated. : Also, can anyone point me to a good resource on programming/configuring : devices. Is there such a thing as a FreeBSD manual (besides MAN pages : that is).
