It requires no major changes to the host OS to build. I have tried very hard to make it painless to drop in and make. At a minimum you will have to upgrade your bootblocks. This is a simple procedure and is outlined in the README that is included in the release. You should untar the archive in a directory named /usr/mach. The sources will untar into src/mach. You will find a README in the /usr/mach/src/mach directory with instructions on how to build it. Note I have only tested the build under the NetBSD-0.9 baseline release. I have not tried to build it under current. There is still no publicly available bsd'ish server available. :-( There is a small group working on a NetBSD single server. If you are interested in helping send mail to bsdss-request@nic.hq.af.mil. Please only those that are serious need apply. Work is fairly slow, but it is moving forward. At this point none of the developers have loads of time to commit to the project. If and when we have something that is useful or useable I will post to let others know. Even though there is no server available I felt that we should make the MK83 sources available for those individuals who wish to write their own servers or explore a micro-kernel.
