Date: 13 Jan 94 04:46:21 GMT Organization: Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa Lines: 22 Message-ID: <michaelv.758436381@ponderous.cc.iastate.edu> NNTP-Posting-Host: ponderous.cc.iastate.edu Has anyone had any experience with using a BusLogic 747 with NetBSD (0.9 or current)? I'd be interested to know what kind of performance you've had and your level of satisfaction with it. (Are BusLogic and BusTek two different companies, or what's the deal?) Also, I'm thinking about getting a hard drive in the $300-400 range, and was considering a Maxtor 7345s (345meg). Anyone have anything they'd like to share? Are there other (better) hard drives I should be thinking about? Any comments on these or competing products to help me before I spend big money? Thanks for your input! Also, anyone have any experiences to share regarding these 486DLC cpu's that are supposed to upgrade a 386 to a 486? What exactly are they? Do they work with NetBSD? Are they worth the money? -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Michael L.
