YOU ARE A S S U M I N G THIS! : In some implementations of DMA controller, bus arbiter, and refresh timers : They are connected and screwing with them may have very bad effects. : The exact nature of the interaction is implementation dependent and will : therefore not be useful on all systems running *BSD. Therefore please : begin discussing something relevant to 386BSD or take this thread to an : IBM-compatible hardware group, or better yet, just stop. : Any replies not directly related to *BSD should be directed to the bit-bucket. : ^^^^^^^^ : Even though this discussion has taken a large tangent in the direction of cosmic rays and quantum physics, I will disagree with your uncalled for comments. I as a serious researher am willing to listen to any person with serious intent on the subject relating to IBM, Intel and *BSD. This newsgroup is for develpment and development ideas. To limit it discussion in any manner is in my opinion a breach of research methods.
