What we do need is more apps word processor, more solid support
for MIME (user friendly interface for composition of MIME messages),
spread sheet with graphic support, some fancy image/drawing tool
(idraw and idoc does not cut it), etc...

A cool sequencer for music composition will not be a bad idea since
we have the linux sound driver capable of driving multiple sound
cards simultaneously.

I think that for the last two years we have put a ton of work
on the OS is time now to put the OS to work for us :-)
