I took and older xvnews I had once running under 386bsd-0.1.2.4 to FreeBSD and it bombs with segmentation violation. Interesting point: It only bombs when the environment variable OPENWINHOME is set to something (/usr/X386 or even blank). A side question not having to to with *BSD: Can anyone give me a hint how to configure a newsserver/newsreader to allow to read and/ create local usergroups (that is, groups that are not exported to the world).
