I have replaced my 8 1MB-SIMMS by 4 4-MB SIMMS, and instead of the expected 16MB I only have 4MB available? Does the board use the 4MB-SIMMS as 1MB-SIMMS? Is this possible at all? I have found only two jumpers, one is labeled cache-size, that I leave alone, and the other one is labeled something I cannot make sense of: 38ACLK if I have guessed it right... I do not dare to change it just as a guess without knowing whether it might damage anything... The board is funny anyway - it has 8 SIMM-sockets, and 4 SIPP (!) sockets. It never made any troubles before, I liked the AMI-bios the most I ever saw - but now I am at a complete lost... do I have to replace the board in order to have 16MB RAM? Please reply via eMail since this might not be the correct newsgroup for this discussion...
