After the boot disk prompts for the file system disk. I get up to this point in the bootup device initalization and then it syncs the disc and reboots. changing root device to fd0a wd0: cannot find label (no disc label) panic: cannot mount root The problem is that the floppy drive light does not even light at all during all this. Could it be possible that it's having problems with my FDD controller? I have an old 386DX-25 with '89 AMI BIOS GSI Model 32 IDE&FDD controller and WD2420 IDE drive. If anyone has any idea what's going on please e-mail or post.. Thanks in advance. Yung Hsu yh29@andrew.cmu.edu
