Several Ideas for retaliation.
1) Find the Address of the Exec. V.P. of MARKETING and
complain to him. Advise him that you personally wish to disconect
you telephone services. Next tell him that as a technical person
that you will obstruct sales of AT&T equipment to any company that
you work for. (3b2, NCR, PBX, ISDN etc). That you will recomend
x.25 connections for long haul networks from MCI, SPRINT etc.
After all who runs the networks the lawyers or us? Market share
in the global village, electronic world means you have to feed the
techies.

2) Counter sue. 100,000 * 10 hrs * 300.00 $/hr = $300,000,000.00.
The cost to you $10.00 (aprox). Who cares if you win or lose
or what you say if you represent yourself the courts have to
give you the benefit of the doubt. So don't wory if you are coherent
or not. You can even use the words UFO, ELVIS, SPACE ALIENS, and
CIA freely AT&T has to defend itself. Two (or rather 100,000) can
play the were gonna litigate you to death game.

3) For those who have the time and resources, try a non-trivial
suit to gain the use of the word UNIX. If you feel that it is
in the public domain defend that. If you feel that a set of library
calls published by AT&T and pushed into the POSIX standards alienates
their claim of propriatorship then defend your views!

4) Write the US District Attorney alleging monopolistic practices.
AT&T didn't like the last run in they had :-). Volenteer as an
expert witness.

5) while :
   do
	ls /usr/spool/news/junk >/tmp/foo
	for i in `cat /tmp/foo`
	do
		mail postmaster@att.com </usr/spool/news/junk/$i
	done
	sleep 600
   done

6) Use the tcp wrapper to exclude all att.com connections to
your box. wuarchives, uunet, prep, etc. And generally make the net
and unfriendly place for AT&T to do business. Kill their forwarded
mail. Stomp their packets on your bridges routers and so forth.

7) Search through usenet for AT&T names and give them to headhunters.
In fact just use the company phone book. Maybe some Japanese firms
would like to hire these guys. Yeah if you dont want U.S. trained
technicians looking at your code and understanding your systems maybe
some in the Unified Germany will.

8) Stop buying Hayden books.

9) Contact the Cable T.V. lobbyists in your neighborhood. They hate
the phone company and would love to site monopolistic practices.

10) Never ever write a device driver for any piece of AT&T equipment.
Nor MIB nor adopt any standard they propose. Block their efforts in
any standards organization you belong to.

11) Every time they come out with something emulate it, improve it
and give it to a competitor.

12) Submit every piece of bad publicity for AT&T you run accross and
submit it to your local paper.

13) Talk your shool into saving money with an alternate carrier.

14) Write your copyrights free to everyone except AT&T.

Remeber they can only walk over you if you let them!
