Try harder -- though you shouldn't have to try really hard. I'm sending this message from a machine running FreeBSD 1.0.2 and XFree86 2.0. The most important thing I found was to remember to coordinate turning off getty (for /dev/vga) and launching xdm in rc.local. As long as I remember to keep those two things in sync all works well. When Xdm and getty are both enabled, they get into a war over the keyboard and it "locks up". -- --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dave Tweten tweten@nas.nasa.gov NASA Ames Research Center, M/S 258-5 (415) 604-4416 Moffett Field, CA 94035-1000 FAX: (415) 604-4377
