The reason I made the suggestion was fdisk /mbr failed to wiped out the 386bsd from my hard disK. I boot with the dist.fs after I ran fdisk/mbr. Install compaints... : It appears 386bsd has been installed on your hard disk, do you want to overwrite it? (y/n) if I hit yes, it'll prompt me the same question over and over again, til I hit no. After I low level format the disk, this prob. gone away. BTW, I'm using AHA1542b with CDC94171 300Meg SCSI 5 1/4". any clue? Kwan-Seng Low
