only place I found this source was in a 386bsd-0.1 ports directory. It

As always, folks, a very good place to look is:

		freebsd.cdrom.com:~ftp/pub/FreeBSD/packages

or, if you want more detailed and up-to-date bits (with the
possible penalty that they may be in a transitional state):

		freebsd.cdrom.com:~ftp/pub/FreeBSD/FreeBSD-current/ports

Next question: devices...how do I configure them? What are some good
books about this? I tried to add the snd_utils package but it wants
several devices that I can't figure out how to make. I have a

cd /dev; MAKEDEV snd

Is the QIC tape device that comes with 1.0.2 QIC-80 compatible? I heard
something about a different package for it...

One has been submitted to us and we are going to try our very best to get
it into FreeBSD 1.1.

Can anyone successfully using a Mitsumi CD-ROM please tell me how (I'd
also like to hear if it works for them under OS/2 2.1 and where to get
   that driver).

There was a bug in the 1.0.2 version of this driver that has been fixed
in FreeBSD-current and will also, of course, be fixed in 1.1.

Also, is there a fix for kermit...I got its binary package from
freebsd.cdrom.com but it hangs every time on SET LINE /dev/tty02
but works if I hit Ctrl-C to skip past that...*shrug*
