Both *BSD version have not made a public release of their version with shlib support in it, though FreeBSD is expecting to release version 1.1 in early March which will have shlibs as one of the many new features. >If so, how much would I have to >change to install it? What do you mean would you have to change? If you are running 386BSD then to run FreeBSD you would have to swtich from 386BSD to FreeBSD, which entails all sorts of good (and some bad) things. The bad meaning there are bugs introduced in FreeBSD that were not in 386BSD due to new features, but those bugs are miniscule in comparison to the bugs fixed. > Would I basically have to start everything again? Please expln. >(If so, I might as well join the Linux community...) Why do you say that? The same reason that brought you to use BSD is still valid, is it not?
