It can display not only ASCII characters but also Japanese, Chinese, Korean coded in the ISO2022 standard. Like DOS/V (from IBM-Japan), World21 displays character fonts by software approach using the VGA/DCGA graphic mode. World21 is a Loadable Kernel Module and does not require you to apply any patches to your kernel. I posted it to comp.os.386bsd.misc a few days ago.
