The truth (as I see it) is half these guys don't know what the hell their talking about and they mostly like to dabble in political poking (i.e., my stick is prittier than yours so mine is the prittiest.) Hog wash. Terry can the closest to a real answer, but still let out a few things. I don't want to start a new 'flaming' thread war so I will just say. There is a partion editor that I have found. It is called YAPBOOT. I picked up from someplace in Africa. It seems the guy that wrote it supports or uses NetBSD. No matter; aside from some oddities in coding styel, the program looks very good. As a matter of fact I used it tonight on a sort-a-dead SCSI drive... To be plain and truthful, I don't think the partition editor had that much to do with it, but I know that I can trust this tool far better that any MS-DOS/IBM version or the like. The question may arise: What will FreeBSD do? That depends, if they continue to be ignorant (and I'm not including everyone in this statement) they will also draw a nice following,,,, circa Netbsd style..... Open mouth insert foot.... that's my two cents. -- Jesus Monroy Jr jmonroy@netcom.com Zebra Research /386BSD/device-drivers /fd /qic /clock /documentation ___________________________________________________________________________
