The EISA system BIOS _should_ provide routines to get this info from the EISA CMOS RAM in 32 bit mode. Experience has shown however that most systems do not correctly implement this BIOS functionality. You could get the info during the boot process when not yet in 32 bit mode. This is what SCO does. Generally speaking I don't think it's worth doing.
