OK, so I got a new 486DX33 system and I wanted to install a free UNIX.
NetBSD looked fairly well regarded. So I tried to install it on a SCSI
disl with a ~1990 1542B AHA 1542B controller. This drive was in addition
to my 340 meg IDE drive on the local bus. Anyway, my problem is this:
If the SCSI card is on the system I can't boot the kernel copy floppy.
I would very much like to have NetBSD exist solely on the SCSI drive.

I can, however, boot the kernel floppy without the SCSI Controller
and install NetBSD on my IDE drive. I would like to be able to use
both DOS and UNIX, so I installed NetBSD on a 50% partition on my
disk drive. I was able to get NetBSD to boot off the hard drive and I
was quited jazzed, but when I tried to get the DOS partition back so I
could use DOS--the DOS partition boot seemed trashed. What am I doing
wrong? Or am I stuck with only DOS or NetBSD at any given time?
Thanks
