[ sorry for the repost, but this *didn't* make it to netcom.com, as strange
as that sounds. i verified it myself; it never made it there! -- cgd ]

This article was resent for repost since it did not
propagate correctly on to Netcom, my service provider.

FDC (Floppy Drive Controller) Driver release 1.0 01-29-1994
for 386bsd rel. 0.1 by Jesus Monroy Jr. (jmonroy@netcom.com)

Filename: release.fdc

                                FDC
                       (Floppy Drive Controller)
                         driver for 386bsd 0.1
                         ---------------------

With my luck Bill Jolitz will release the all mighty
vaporous 0.2 version and make these notes obsolete. :^)
Well, at least has the floppy driver has finally condensed
and is finally dribbling down the net.

                        etext.archive.umich.edu:/pub/Zines/QIC-News (tenative)

KNOWN BUG: The system at command-level will not report an
error when trying to write to a write-protected
diskette. However, the code does handle this
                correctly.
