I've got DEC pc's locally that experience (Phoenix BIOS) and DEC pc's that don't experience (AMI BIOS), and Terry Lambert has noted that AT&T/Intel machines with Phoenix BIOS also experience this problem. I'm not saying that all PHOENIX BIOS machines experience, but that appears to be a common thread.
