I thought that sox was a sound  format converter?

You may try looking in the ftp.bsdi.com:/pub/sw for a port
of sox... Hope my memory does not fail me :-)

If you still can't get it to work just e-mail me.
Yes, I had sox working on one of *bsd versions but I lost my port.
