I am interested in using some variant on BSD for an intel platform, but I have several questions that the seemingly outdated FAQ's don't answer. First of all, does BSD still support such a small selection of network cards? The FAQ seems to indicate that it supports 1/4 to 1/10th the number of cards Linux does. I have a 3Com 3c509 - is it supported? Also, what about non-scsi CD-Roms. I have a mitsumi drive, which has a special controller. Also, does BSD support any QIC-80 drives? Linux doesn't much, but the drivers are in beta test. Basically, Ive found linux seriously lacking but BSD seems to require very specific hardware. If this isn't the case, could someone point me in the direction of where I can find more up to date information? - George Hartz georgeh@mail.csh.rit.edu, george@theta.csh.rit.edu \
