It functions perfectly for outgoing connections, but it doesn't seem to work as 8 bit clean for dialup. I have installed a patch which I got off the net and the handshaking seems to work better. The patch said to build a new kernal and recompile getty which I have done. I now have a tty01 and a cua01 but still no 8 bit clean dialup. Does anyone have any suggestions for me on how to get a working 8 bit clean dialup port? Do I have to make a new gettytab entry ? I have made one for 38400 but I wasn't quite sure of what to put in there for parity (since I want none) and how to tell it 8 bits.
