	We had a similar problem on our FreeBSD box up here.  I don't know if
it's fixed, but we've found that if you run x from a virtual (not the main)
console, it seemed to exit properly.  Now, I'm not a unix hacker, I was just
using my roomate's box, but it worked for me.
