Hello all,

I got the INN_SRC package from freebsd.cdrom.com and followed the instructions
on the installation. Everything seemed to compile without a problem, but my
executables seem to be dysfunctional. When I execute ctlinnd and do a mode I
just get a blank line as output. No "Ok" or anything. Also the in.nnrpd in
the /usr/local/etc isn't working properly either because no one can read any
news.

News is spooling onto the disks. And posts are going out, but I can't control
the innd daemon and no one can read. Has anyone had this problem before. I
used the config.FreeBSD as my config file. My filesystem is pretty much stock
with a few symlinks here and there just to move stuff to different partitions.

Any help would be appreciated. I am not sure if this has to do with lint or
not, but I do remember some warnings when it was compiling. Since I got this
from freebsd.cdrom.com I am assuming it works in FreeBSD and that I am just
missing something. I am ignorant of a lot of the technical aspects of Unix,
like C programming and stuff.

Thanks

..Sal
