Yes; NetBSD-current supports the 3c509 using the "ep" driver.  There is
a binary snapshot of -current on:

sun-lamp.cs.berkeley.edu:/pub/NetBSD/arch/i386 

which you can use to go from 0.9...

Yes; -current has the "mcd" driver which supports the Mitsumi cdrom. I've
not tried it so your mileage may vary.
