Nntp-Posting-Host: orion.devetir.gov Keywords: religion FreeBSD NetBSD filesystems Sender: usenet@devetir.qld.gov.au (Network News) Organization: DEVETIR, QLD, AUSTRALIA Date: Tue, 15 Feb 1994 21:45:42 GMT Message-ID: <sysdeb.761348742@pandora> Lines: 22 While people are answer mode, if I wanted to try both Free and Net BSD could I install them both and have a seperate partition for all of my local source and random files that could be mounted by *BOTH*. An added bonus would also allow the original 386BSD and/or BSDI partitions to be mounted as well... This may be a trivial thing to do, or Free & Net may have done something like change the ID byte of the FS, or maybe even something a bit more non-trivial. Anyone in the know out there, it certainly sounds plausible. BTW I am still using 386BSD with the unoffical patchkit, so I haven't yet caught my religion for either direction. I am just looking towards trying out both and I do not want to mess around unnecessarily with my local source area.
