Does anyone know when the next versions of NetBSD or FreeBSD will be
out? I understand that they are to implement shared libraries--is this
true? What will this do to the size of these operating systems?
What other enhancements can we expect with new versions?

The next release of FreeBSD (1.1) is slated for mid-march. Yes, it
will have shared libraries. I'll be posting the overall size and
enhancement details as the date draws nearer..
