In my effort to get version 4.1 of postgres up on my NetBSD-current machine I compiled postgres with '-g' and this produced a 12Mb file 'postgres'. When I try to debug this program with gdb all I get is a message (from gdb) 'virtual memory exhausted'. Is it possible to overcome this problem only by adding some memory to my system (at the moment I have 16Mb) or to add some swap space (at the moment 32Mb) ? Any hints appreciated.
