the problem here is with translating disk controllers.
netbsd doesn't appear where it is expected to.  I THINK
translation is ON now and everything works.  I used the
RAW (untranslated) parameters to configure netbsd.

This with wd hd/fd controller 1007A
and seagate ST4384E ESDI drive.
