I see a "clean" base09.033 on agate.berkeley.edu:/pub/NetBSD/NetBSD-0.9/...

I'm pretty sure the install documentation explains what you have to do (you
have to copy them onto floppy if that's how you plan to install them, of
course).

I use PPP on 0.9 - I cobbled together the ppp stuff from current and got
it working.  No problems with it at all (you'll probably want a 16550A-based
serial card).
