Hi !
After some responses to my question if there's an interest on a software list
which software can be compiled or ported without problems I will start a weekly
announcement for such a list. This list isn't intended as a replacement for the
packages in *BSD but as an addition to these packages so not everything has to
be put in packages so we could save space on FTP servers.
To provide such a list I need help from you, the *BSD community !
Please try to port dozens of programs from other UNIX communities to *BSD and
tell me (via email !) where to find them if they easy can be ported or with
just few minor changes !
Please add a description of the program what it does and where to find it in
the following form:

category:server(inetnum):path/program:description [changes]

E.g. category is communication or diskutils etc., server and inetnum is the
address of the FTP-server, path/program is the path and the name of the program
wher to find this application, description could be some short statements and
optional minimal changes.

If you have any suggestions and proposals so feel free to write me at
uwp@cs.tu-berlin.de !

I hope you will send me lots of Messages !

Thanx,
	Udo
