The system in question also acts as a print server, nfs server and has nnmaster running on it as well (ie a bit of disk access every 20 mins or so) + interactive users. I guess the difference between my 18 minutes and the 22 minutes you mention is probably due to slightly different hardware or system load - the times are very similar.
