Do you read what you're following up to to get any idea what the topic is, or just blindly flame anyone who says anything about NetBSD? The start of this discussion (and hence the 'author' of this thread wrote) From: eilts@late.e-technik.uni-erlangen.de (Hinrich Eilts) Newsgroups: comp.os.386bsd.questions Subject: Install problem: cmd/data port full I successfully installed FreeBSD-1.1-BETA, now I tried NetBSD-0.9, but it failed ..... Because it's the same machine running FreeBSD ok, hardware and configuration should be ok. Hardware: 486AMD, 40MHz, 16MB, Adaptec1542C with intern SCSI-Disk. If I unplug the SCSI-Disk, this error dosen't appear (I tried a other SCSI-Disk without success). -- Bye | G i b D O S | Hinrich Eilts | k e i n e | (e-mail: eilts@late.e-technik.uni-erlangen.de) | C h a n c e ! | ============================================================ *sarcasm on* Be of good cheer Hinrich, there are no bugs in NetBSD regarding the SCSI code. It must be hardware!
