Invalid analogy :-)  The difference is that the car salesman had nothing to
do with the design and did not contribute to the development of the
car -- he just had a profit motive.  Most of us working on *BSD (Free or Net)
are not directly making money on it.  It is mostly a labor of love.  Many
of us are actually working very hard on a cooperative effort.  Many times
when people do things that they love, they do a wonderful job at it.  In
FreeBSD our goal is the most reliable and highest performance that the
platform can provide.  It is  not perfect, but some versions of *BSD are
more/less perfect than others :-).  Lets have fun!!!
