Intel now owes me a release of an Intel 486DX/2-100, IMO. 8-(. Hmmm hadn`t heard that AMD ever announced they were going to make a 486DX/2-100. Currently they make and sell a 486 DX40, DX50 and DX/2-66. These all make use of the Intel microcode. Intel has yet to prevent that in court but they are trying like crazy. ;) Intel could be making and selling a 486DX/3-33 today but apparently it would have roughly the same integer performance as the current Pentium. For marketing reasons the DX/3 wont be out until the faster Pentium is out. Dont want cut down those profit margins. ________________________________________________________________________ Matt Helgren System Engineer/Administrator _______ \____ |Advanced CAD Technology & Systems /| | |Micro 5204 E.
