CVS-1.3 Date: 22 Mar 1994 04:24:17 -0600 Organization: The University of Texas - Austin Lines: 13 Message-ID: <2mmh0h$dsj@sylvester.cc.utexas.edu> NNTP-Posting-Host: sylvester.cc.utexas.edu Compiling CVS-1.3, I found that: 1) CVS-1.3's configure utility sees the POSIX include files and assumes POSIX signals. 2) Compiling produces no problems, but the resultant program hangs somewhere in SIG_register(). 3) If you "bg" the program and then "fg" it, it actually hangs the entire system! Ack! I got around the problem by re-configuring with BSD signals, but what went wrong? I should have gotten a warning earlier. -- Protect our endangered bandwidth - reply by email. NO BIG SIGS!
